Smart Apps For The Construction Site

There is actually a great supply of smart apps very applicable for different kinds of work on the construction site. Several of these apps work as a strong supplement to IssMan. With these apps you can make your work even more efficient. We have made a list of eight current and useful apps for both Android and iPhone.


IssMan is a simple app for snagging, punchlists and photo documentation – directly on the construction site. The app is free up to 100MB data (approx. 100 pictures). Track issues and defects by taking photos, adding mark-ups and making reports. You can assign tasks to your team members and communicate with them. Everything is automatically synchronising across units – you can even edit issues and reports from your PC. IssMan is available in English and Danish.


Dropbox makes it easy to save photos, docs, videos and other files on both PC and smartphone. Everything in your Dropbox folder is safely backed up and synchronised across PC, smartphone and tablet. You can even edit your Microsoft Office files from your iPhone and iPad.


Make to-do lists on your smartphone, PC or tablet with Trello and get perspective over all your projects. You can prioritise your lists according to importance or weekdays. Share the lists with your colleagues and add initials to each assignment. Everybody gets an overview of who is doing what and when. PC, tablet and smartphone are synchronising automatically.

It can be a very tedious job making paper sketches. If you have ever tried making a sketch of the construction site, which nobody understood, you will probably find My Measures useful. Everything you have to do is to take a picture of an object, add dimensions, arrows, angles and notes.


Scan receipts, notes, invoices, whiteboard discussions, business cards, certificates etc. with your phone camera and make clear and sharp images or PDF. Crop the image afterwards and enhance the quality.


A perfect photo app for you who works in dark and narrow rooms. You can turn down the resolution so that the pictures don’t take up too much space, when they are distributed.
